How do you make an attractive female face?

Any tips on settings? Mouth small, eyes small, narrow frame - etc. I like the mainstream Lee/Finch style of hottie female superheroes (surprise!) but cannot even get close. Too many options :)

You may or may not know this about us, but our faces are actually a little further up than that.

There's a few ways to do it - some of the ways I've managed - though first I want to mention that as with anything as subjective as attractiveness YMMV with my choices here.

    1) The "cute" face - Namely, Lower the cheekbones allllll the way to the bottom. This gives a fuller, not-quite chubby face. Shrink the nose to something like a button, increase the eye size just a smidge (they don't have to be enormous, but they should be sizable). You may consider slightly (not much!) widening the head and slightly lowering the height of it so that it's more round rather than oval.

Mouth slider should probably be at roughly 1/4 to 1/5th full (ie: you're moving it to the left for a narrower look) but you still want semi-full lips. I tend to do this for almost all my characters so this particular bit, about mouths, consider standard unless it's touched on again.

Hair I will add is PARAMOUNT to how your face looks in the end - this is why it's a big deal in RL; because your hair frames your face. For the "Cute" style I highly recommend shorter cuts, like "Bob" and "Short Sleek" or one of the pigtails or ponytail styles.

The look is intended to give a simple, unsophisticated 'nice girl' look. Almost invariably implies the character is no older than 25, and probably more around 15-20. (Ie: It's mostly for young characters, though with work you can make an older variant)

It also implies, generally speaking, an athletic or youthful body. So consider slightly bulking up the body and going for a slightly shorter than normal height to complement things. Bust size probably should remain relatively low as the higher settings can ruin the overall effect. Ie: C-cup or lower.

    2) Slim face - This is technically specifically designed for elves and other fey creatures, but the face it creates is attractive and entirely suitable for a more human character - it's more sophisticated, upscale, and generally speaking intended for worldly people.

Eyes should be somewhat narrow (that is, wide in terms of width, but thinner in terms of up-down height), but don't overdo it or she'll look like she's squinting at you really hard. Raise the cheekbones upward, and thin the width of the head some.

Try to slim the chin some too so it's more pointy. Drop the nose height a smidge (you want it to be thinner and more tapered looking, even though in this case you're changing the up-down part of the tip).

Hairstyles - This CAN work with just about anything; depending on your aim. Long hair or lower-carried can look more sophisticated and upscale, while some of the shorter or spikier looks can imply something of a punky or goth look. (Though you can get the latter with long hair too)

The face tends to trend a bit older; only a handful of teenage characters would look like this, but it'll last far longer than the other - going as high as mid-50s or even early 60s on some women.

    ---

Hrmm... I thought I had more... I probably do but off the top of my head I'm drawing a blank. Still, for now those two are enough to get you started. It just takes time and practice to really feel out what you want out of a given character's face.

Generally, reduce mouth and eye size, reduce eye height, reposition as necessary, lower the nose position. Basic pretty face, adjust slightly for each toon for individuality.

For body, slightly reduce shoulders, hand size and arm length, reduce shoulder width, chest depth and breast size (yes you heard me), adjust waist until hips roughly match the shoulders. This is a slim, lithe kind of build that works well as a base. Reduce body mass and soften the muscles for that physically plain, magically/psychically powerful type. Increase mass and muscles slightly, add a little back to the chest width and depth, and you've got a physically stronger looking build.

Guess a few people are curious about Terra's appearance. Though the clothing isn't exactly up to date it hasn't changed mucha nd the body hasn't changed at all, so it's all the same there.

That's my #1 complaint with this game (and actually was my first post waaaaaay back in alpha) but I don't want to derail the thread with my discussion on the objectification of female toons....

In other news, you can't control human impulse, so your objection, while might be noble, are in reality completely irrelevant and pointless ;) And some girls out there like to feel sexy as well. Of course there is a line to be drawn between being sexy and something that looks like a street corner prostitute, but everyone has a different line where that is drawn at and can be crossed.

I think the point - at least from my perspective - is that some of us would like to not need MASSIVE BOOBAGE in order for things like Chest Emblems not to look like crap <~,~>

    Or maybe that's just me.

(Not that there's anything wrong with massive boobage...)

Sports top and jacket actually, and not trying to jut her boobs out. And seemingly something less than each boob being the size or greater han the size of her head.

Point still stands that it could be considered revealing by some folk's standards, regardless of what type of top it is or how much she's got to fill it with.

I couldn't care less if she was in her knickers, or a full length gown, or a bin bag. It's just pixels. But it's a bit judgemental of you to bring up self respect and all that jazz just because someone else's female shaped pixels are not as covered up as you'd have your female shaped pixels.

Actually it's not if you look at the comparative shots. If people are offended by mid-drifts these days, they might want to get out of the 1850s :p

I'm a firm believer in having the breast slider less than max. Also, waist more than min. I don't know how many are running around with zero waist and max breasts with huge shoulder width and chest depth. It makes me sad. Even female bodybuilders often have womanly hips, guys. Moar waist ffs.

Some of us have control. I like to think my main's costume is sexy without completely slutting it up.
