Full outfits ready to apply to character when you create the character?

:cool:I just thought of a kinda cool idea! The Character Creator should have in it something like the City of Heroes/City of Villains game has! A drop-down menu where a bunch of complete outfit sets are ready to choose from! I can't find certain pieces without taking hours looking through every single costume option just to find an extremely elusive costume piece! What do all of you think? Is this a good idea or not?

I somehow missed this feature. Sometimes I feel like wanting to make a new character and am at a complete loss of of a concept, or sometimes I want to build my hero on a particular set of fitting costume pieces but don't know where to find some. I'm kinda for it so that players don't have to build their costumes from scratch every time.

You might want to give people more than 7 minutes to answer.

As far as complete ready made outfits it would work as a baseline I suppose but I likely wouldn't use them. And I would fear lazy costumers wouldn't change them much.

I suppose that complete unlockable sets could be setup like this but the vast majority of outfits aren't really for a specific set. The only things that would likely be in them are tights that match a certain elemental design.

I think what would work better is tab with a complete list of all costume pieces you can sort by category and just hit the apply button when you found the one you want. We have it for unlocked costume pieces so it should work for regular ones as well.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea. Would require deciding what the base sets would be could possibly leave people not looking through the various options, and giving us a lot of cloned looking characters.

I think this is what the current random option is for. Pick the colours you want, lock them, then smack random till something hits your fancy.

:cool:Basically, all i'm really hoping for is an easier way to find pieces, I guess!

The "Full Costume Set" in CoX is good idea so you can find the needed pieces fast. But since CO lacks full costumes, sets missing pieces that is, we 1st need full sets.
But it would be good feature to have.

there are alot of costumes sets already in the game. theres no drop down for it but you can just go by name. "gladiator's <insert limb here> arcane <insert limb here>". and i'm glad that feature didn't come to CO. given i know not everyone is creative, but without that feature theres more inspiration for creativity out of the uncreative. and less walking up to the crafting table with 3 dudes who look exactly like you.

Actually, having full costume sets might expose areas they have overlooked. *looks at arm accessories...
