A few new creations...

I'm not afflicted with alt-itis - just costume creation!

So, I figured I'd share some of the newer creations of the past few days that I'm relatively happy with:
Halley's Comet: A powerful alien entity regularly travelling the galaxy - once thought to be an inanimate object visible by the naked eye to those on Earth every 75 years. On this round however, something caught her attention and she descended to the Earth...

Old Oak: A very ancient tree ent - asleep for a millennia who has recently awoken, bewildered and saddened, to discover how much the world has changed while he slumbered. (This creation was actually inspired by Buston's fantastic Barkskin in this thread.)

Iggurk the Troll: An intelligent but angry troll whose bridge was destroyed by thoughtless superheroes. He has an image of his perfect new home in mind but spends his days fighting crime and stupid humans until he finds it.

Finally, a bit of a makeover for my current main character:
Vulcan (Roman God of fire & volcanoes), with elements from the Geo Armor set. I love the way it turned out and it has to be my favourite costume at the moment. The original is here for comparison: Original Vulcan.

I like the idea of Old Oak (one day for a plant power set perhaps) but for me, the vine set feet don't fit as well as I think they should have. For me, the feet and bracer pieces don't seem to fit as well to anything other than the complete vine set which means mixing/matching for other themes is a bit limited. Almost like they're entirely different styles in contrast with most everything else in the creator. Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on things to try with Old Oak to make him 'flow' a little better?

I'm not a fan of the rock legs on Vulcan. I am, however a huge fan of the rock arm.

Great new costumes, however I must admit that I liked normal feet Vulcan a bit more .

I'm happy Barkskin could inspire you.Spread the movement and soon we shall have a plant set ;)
I like the cest piece you used, very woodlike
As for his problem. I think that he is too feet centric. I would slim down the legs and feet and add something that might pass as branches to the top part of him. Maybe try the anteles for the head.

Cheers for the feedback guys. I guess it's one of those things that comes to personal preference and different things appeal to different people.

When I first designed Vulcan I thought about an exploding volcano - and tried to make a rock base with a "lava" gradient top but even then I wanted something bigger for the feet. Earth powerset anyone? :D

Plus, I may have spent too much time lately playing Darksiders admiring Joe Madureira's work. (God of War/Zelda style of gameplay with Joe Mad's designs on character models/environment? Awesome.)

As for Old Oak - the big feet are deliberate - although I admit, perhaps a trifle overdone. I used the antlers on Gaia a while ago (see my signature link/thread) but there wasn't much else to play with. I tried the vine head wear but I found it a bit limiting considering you can't use much else - and it was underwhelming for what I was trying to achieve.
