What is this about?

One Champion, played by many players with different powers, similar costume and story background.

What do we need?

-a free characterslot
-a few restrictions concerning the costume (more later)
-the name is important, the makeup of it at least "The XXXX Dr.Trent" (more later)
-Dr.Trent and Dr.Trent are a scientist couple, granted, they are old and a little bit weird, but honour bound and an active power of good.
-the ingame story background should base on the same basis story, on top of which everyone can individualize.
-a supergroup? no, thats unnecessary, tho possible if enough people participate and want it. it is not required (meaning you can stay in yours)

first things first:

Of whom are we talking here?

The married couple Trent of course!

ingame character story background basis:

Before he/she knew what was happening Dr.Trent became an old man/woman, and maybe a little bit funny in the head. "Lets make the last years count!" he/she thought, cloned him/herself and went out to fight evil. His/Her spouse approved of the plan and tagged along. The clones were supposed to continue the studies of the original, which they did, for a while. Then the clones found themselves to be old and thought: "Lets make the last years count!" cloned themselves and went out to fight evil. How many of these Dr.Trents are roaming the world is unknown, as is, wether the originals are still alive and kicking or long dead and gone.
(~650 characters, enough space to write an individual story arc)
(copy-paste works from text directly into the characterscreen via keybinds [i believe it´s ctrl+c ctrl+p on english keyboards?])

Questions about the story:

Old clones?
yes, the clones are created mirroring the originals age, abilities and experiences. how? Why, Comic-Power of course.

Why do the clones leave to fight evil as well?
They do not remember being cloned, nor that the originals left to do good already,

Why did the originals leave?
To fight evil obviously! To do great and be more than baseline scientists in history!

How would i write my own story to that?
well, as an example, here is my first try. as i am sure you all know, these change with time and growing powerpool. it is a bit flat, but i did not put big thought behind it yet.

This particular Dr.Trent invented a powerglove to pick up the fight with the bad guys. He integrated it into his shield harness in a way, that excess heat from both, the powerglove and the shield technology could be released either in a concentrated heat blast, or a constant stream of superheated air.

Regarding the names:

I myself play a "The Manifold Dr.Trent"
of course double naming is possible in CO, so use it if you like it
a few examples of different Dr.Trents:

The Brute Dr.Trent (using for example a might build)
The Inventive Dr.Trent (Gadgeteering maybe?)
The Raging Dr.Trent (Supernatural perhaps?)
The Nimble Dr.Trent (a Dr.Trent with Lightning reflexes?)
The Manyfold Dr.Trent (simple, but not wrong)

The Powers of Dr.Trent

Every Dr.Trent should heed the following: Concept, concept, concept. The powers you chose should have a visible connection.
This however does not mean, that i would like you to pick from just one framework, but that you validate the powers by writing your own story how Dr.Trent became what you made her/him become.
Important: The costume should be in harmony with Dr.Trents powers.

The costume of Dr.Trent

There is a basic costume (male + female) i made (added to the post). Building on those and with 3 rules everybody will be able to build one that fits the Trent.

1st rule: the Shoulderwear with the Trent "T" on the right side is common on every trent. The writing on the left shoulderpad is optional.

2nd rule: the face. Dr.Trents should be similar enough to each other, that, standing near each other it is easily conceivable, that this is the same character, who experienced a different line of events after creation.

3rd rule: the phsysique. whilst the proportions may change through mutation, or technical addons (such as mechanicel limbs for instance), the height and breadth should not differ too much (of course you may change them, within limits). we all start the same size after all and too big a change seems weird doesn´t it?

Why would we do this?

because it is fun! Dr.Trent might become a part of the game like Destroyer or Defender! (yeah right, i overstated it, but you know what i´m going at)

Thats about it, i´d be glad to see some thoughts on this, and hope to see another Dr.Trent ingame sometime soon!
I´d love to see your creations too, so feel free to post them!

that is because those two are used elsewhere in this context? Legion i know from ME2 where they even say what it´s from, some play or something. Regis.. never heard.
well, i tried not to "steal" something from anything that already exists... i´m pretty sick of the batman clones, so i figured, why not make some sort of clone logical?

Pretty nice idea this, I think! I ran into "Manifold" in UTC yesterday, hope you get a lot of clones! (Levelling my first char, lvl 20 atm, and many planned alts already, but maybe one day I'll make one :P)

While Legion is a character in ME2, that's not what the reference was to. It was from Legion, a demonreferred to in the bible. In one of the scriptures he says:

And he (Jesus) asked him (the man), "What is thy name?" And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion: for we are many."

gotcha. so it wouldnt be just unoriginal to use that, but even dusty... besides, i saw a few characters with that name online already, there would be no point to use it..

i didnt say it was referenced from ME2, i said that in ME2 it was said where it is from. i didnt remember it all that well tho, obviously ;)

anyway, thanks for the info Lohr.

I haven't gotten to Legion yet, still have to get the reaper IFF and that collectors scare the bejesus out of me and I got sidetracked with revelation.

I don't even know why I know that about Legion. The first thing I think about when I hear Legion and superheroes is Xavier's son.
