My characters list. Any suggestions for a Power Armor toon?

I, as many of us are here, am afflicted by alt-itis. I love making new characters - each one with a different look and frequently with completely different power options. I enjoy playing different power sets to see how they work but need a theme to match them up to. If I don't like the way a character looks, I'm far less inclined to play it.

Such is the case with the Power Armor set. I've spent quite some time tinkering but I'm totally stuck for a concept / costume. In my mind, i'm after something sleek and minimal as a base. Anyone have any suggestions to get me started?

I also wouldn't mind any feedback on how I can improve Tokimatsu:
(A Geisha that doesn't quite look right to me - possibly due to the limitations of the character creator or the picture in my mind).

Since I'm quite proud of my efforts on bending the character creator to match what I envisage, these are the other toons I have so far that I've fallen in love with (many of them created specifically for Adogg's costume contest #5):
Sekhmet: An early Egyptian sun deity, her body was said to take on the bright glare of the midday sun, gaining her the title Lady of Flame. Sekhmet was believed to protect the pharaoh in battle, stalking the land, and destroying the pharaoh's enemies with arrows of fire. It was said that death and destruction were balm for her warrior's heart and that the hot desert winds were believed to be her breath.

Djinni: A 4000 year old Genie, freed from the confines of her bottle by a benevolent master making his final wish.

Celeste: An Angel fallen from God's grace for attempting to stop the battle of Detroit. By interfering with His plan she was cast out of heaven as punishment.

Poseidon: Ancient Greek God of the sea.

Muria: I'm not sure if this quite fits with the theme of mythology for this contest but this character is a Lemurian who left her home beneath the waves to take the fight to the world above.
Gaia: The primal Greek Goddess personifying the Earth.
Vulcan: The blacksmith god of fire and volcanoes in Roman mythology.
Hera front and Hera back: Hera, the Greek Goddess of women and marriage. Also associated with the peacock and the cow, she frequently appears in peacock feathers.
Hercules: Mightiest of the Greek Heroes, paragon of masculinity and champion of the Olympians.
Fucanglong: In Chinese mythology the Fucanglong are underworld dragons which guard buried treasures, both natural and man-made. Volcanoes are said to be created when they burst out of the ground to report to heaven.

Mania: In Greek mythology, Mania was the personification of insanity. She was said to be the mother of ghosts, the undead, and other spirits of the night.
Kumiko: An old blind woman from Henan Province in China, well trained in martial arts, seeking to find balance and peace.
Tokimatsu: A renowned Geisha from Japan. Her graceful movements captivate onlookers, her performances leaving her audience utterly spellbound and in her thrall.
Kilvana: An Incan princess devoted to the worship of Apocatequil, the God of lightning.
Yileen and a revised Yileen (2): In Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal) mythology, The Dreaming or Altjeringa (also called the Dreamtime) is a sacred 'once upon a time' in which ancestral Totemic Spirit Beings formed The Creation (the world). Many Indigenous Australians also refer to an individual's spirituality and beliefs as "The Dreaming." This Aboriginal Elder can paint his own Dreamings into reality with his bare hands to alter the world around him.

I love Fucanglong. Also, I really like what you did with the chest/necklace on Kilvana. That turquise looks great.

For sleek Power Armor, I like the Inlay patterns/textures with a few bulkier pieces specific to the story/concept. Are you going full-PA or are you mixing in other power sets for flavor?

For Tokimatsu, maybe change the stance to Average, the Vixen stance doesn't seem 'demure' enough for a geisha.

I agree, I have a sleek version of my main and I use the inlay with metallic sheen for his look. See below. For the geisha, Mutantos is right about the stance. I would also suggest a powdered white face, bright red lips and heavy kohl for the eyes. Try using one of the make up options for humanoid heads or failing that a white skin, but technically only the face is white, the throat ears etc should be uncovered. I like the design however and your other toons as sweet as well.

That has to be one of my favorite collections of costumes! I think I've seen Celeste somewhere...I think Stampede was in a costume contest with her? Maybe I misremember.

First, for Tokimatsu, I think one thing that will open it up is to go with a more stylish skirt, in combination with some tights or pants underneath. I don't have a slot to create a female character to test, but the male options include a "Wrap Angled" and other options I think might look interesting, in Medium Skirts & Shorts where they can be used with tights underneath. I think having Ornamental or Ornamental Detailed on the tights with one of the skirt options would help the look, perhaps the tights black with green/blue ornamentals, and the skirt red, or whatever combination of colors fits what you're going for.

As for Power Armor, I do have some looks I like, but if no theme is specified, that leaves things wide open. I can offer one idea I just thought of for it, though, some sort of "sentinel" "unsleeping eye" robot theme. "Overwatch"? "Watchtower"? Given your collection, I'm sure something unique will occur if you choose to go with it, adjusting the size and details to taste (the green glowing selections in general are intended to go with power color selections for their area):

Thanks for the feedback on Tokimatsu, however for the time being I've decided to scrap her as even with changes she just doesn't look the way I want her to. Maybe I can re-imagine her as an ex-nightclub stripper who gives electric performances...

As far as the suggestions on Power Armor are concerned - the following are what I've come up with so far:
I can't say I'm loving any of them though.

I was planning to mix a bit of Gadgeteering into Power Armor so I might see what I can do with a kid genius concept instead...

I will say I like the Persona V1 best for overall look, but Power Armor V1 does seem an interesting start to modify according to theme.

Killiandros: I've got nothing for your power armor, but you have a very impressive collection of heroes there.

Sekhmet is spot-on. You even went the classy way and covered up her boobs with the hair.

What you did with Vulcan is just awesome. Going from the molten rock bottom to the gradient top is genius. I've never seen that combination before.

When I read the word "dragon" in Fucanglong's description, I thought "Oh great, another gigantic muscle-laden green dude with enormous wings. I was pleasantly surprised. The design on him is excellent.

Kilvana loos great. The way you used the gold on her costume is perfect. And like Adogg said, the turquoise is great.

These are some awesome designs. I notice that many of your costumes are asymmetrical. Very cool...I'm not imaginative or bold enough to pull that off!

For power armor, V1 really looks gives me that classic hero vibe. V4 might be my favorite though.

Cheers for the feedback guys, really appreciate it.

Thanks Smackwell, Vulcan & Sekhmet are actually my favourite creations, followed closely by Gaia, Poseidon and Fucanglong.
Seismic_, that's somewhat amusing since I'm almost OCD about symmetry (:o) but I tend to feel the need to break it up slightly with something. Give it a go yourself, you can always undo/delete.

Anyway, I toyed with a few subtle variations to costume/colour of V1 and ultimately I've decided to go with this revision for my Power Armor toon whose design has grown on me:
Persona: Created for the people, by the people. Persona represents an investment made by families across several neighbourhoods in Milennium City to create a reliable, dedicated protector fully compliant with their (sometimes questionable) definition of law and order.

Cool. V4 was my fave of the group...to me, she's reminiscent of an H.R. Giger creation, although not quite as intense!

Very nice, reminds me of the robot from Fritz Lang's Metropolis, for no particular reason.

Thank you. I ended up wanting to make her look a little 'retro' rather than super futuristic.

Someone else in-game mentioned Metropolis to me when I got her to the Desert Crisis. Had never seen nor heard about Metropolis before that (and you mentioning it again). I went ahead and researched Metropolis and for an older movie, it looks interesting and has fantastic reviews. I'll have to see if I can dig up a copy somewhere.

Obviously, very late to the party... but that was the very first thing that came to mind to me. Couldn't agree more.

I'd also reduce the length of her leg.

It's probably just the names that are giving me the idea here but did you get these or at least the ideas for them from Aegis of Persona 3?

Nope, I was actually browsing the dictionary for a name that fit the concept I had in mind.

The 4th definition in the following link is what I ended up choosing and loosely fit - the mask or facade worn to satisfy the demands of the situation or environment etc. i.e. A protector created to serve the people of the local neighbourhood. Dictionary.Com=Persona

:)Djinni, Hera, and that geisha character of yours need either a different outfit, hairstyle, or even skin color! Otherwise, I like how all of the characters look! For instance: your geisha character needs the Bun-chopsticks hairdo, because that's the kind of hairdo that geisha's wear! There's a couple different hair options that would better fit your Hera character! Either the "Curly Locks" look, or the look that you can get with that "Laurel Leaves" headpiece! If I created a genie-type character, I'd make him or her look more human! These are only ideas of mine, and, as always, you don't have to use any of my suggestions!
