Ceremonial Armor?

I'm looking for some advice/assistance in creating a suit of ceremonial armor for my sharkman. I'll attach the costume save file and some links to in-game pictures below.

The concept here is that the character was human but, during some experimentation with a teleportation device, found his consciousness in the body of a Karkaradon gladiator on Malva. He found that human tactics, combined with Karkaradon strength, allowed him to be quite successful in the arena.

His current costume is his gladiatorial half-suit of armor, but I'd like a suit to reflect what he might wear to a victory celebration, or during a noble's inspection of the gladiatorial ranks. The only things that I care about being the same are the body proportions and colors, and the left-biased asymmetry. As for thoughts, I was considering black and red for the colors of the ceremonial armor, but I'm open to pretty much anything.

Thanks in advance for any help!

In-game pictures.

Here's a royal guard version and a "I unlocked all the gladiator stuff" version.... hope you like them!

Adogg, thanks for the input... I really need to get my butt around to unlocking at least some of the NemCon pieces instead of leveling alts interminably =P

The first one feels too... heavy, though. This is a race that's supposed to be at home in the water, so I'd think that being pretty minimalist with heavy armors would be a good idea for them. Food for thought, anyway.

I really like the second one, but if you haven't unlocked it and have the new Samurai set, that would suit a ceremonial look. At work so can't do it for you now, but if you like the concept could do it later.

That's a really good point. Now all I see is a giant weight instead of a heavily ornate costume.

If you have access to it I would suggest using the Art Deco stuff then. It has thin lines that you can make look very regal with the right coloring and the armor is not very heavy...

This is the second time in as many weeks that I've found myself wishing that I had the Art Deco set. If they offered it for a six month sub again, I'd buy one in a heartbeat... but no, I wasn't playing during the window in which it was offered, so I'm screwed out of a lot of really nice costume options. *sigh*

Also, I was thinking of using the Dr. Destroyer costume unlocks from NemCon. I have the shoulders and boots but no bracers yet.
