I got two characters here for your critiquing pleasure. One human, one sea monster, both knights in a secret society of heroes known as P.O.J. (Protectors of Justice). Let me know what you think.
As much as I personally love asymmetry, the boot on the sea monster just doesn't fit. There's no way his foot would fit inside of that thing with any resemblance of comfort. My choice would be either give him normal feet (bare or clawed perhaps?) or lose the boot entirely. Other than that, my only thought is why the blue?
when i think of water the colors blue and green come to mind. hence the blue
i agree about the boot, but at the same time I like how it looks. it's a love hate thing. i might toy with it some more. see what I can do. i might just ditch the tentacle toes and go for two boots. tentacle toes looks odd when running.

I tend to go for symmetry myself, but I like what you've done. My only other thought was "why are there random spikes on his spandex-covered leg?" If you want something there to balance, I'd go with a pouch, knife, or something else strapped on. IMHO spikes are fine on robots/demons/etc, but are out of place on heros in spandex.
I like asymmetry if it has a purpose. Like a single pistol for my Swinging characters or using heavier armour on the left arm for blocking or the forearm guard on my Archery character. So if you have a good reason for the Spikes or the Metal Boots then I'm all for it.

In my opinion it's too much blue. I would personally go with more of a muted color, the blue green if you will and have them blend a bit more. Having such a harsh contrast between the green and blue just looks off to me.

I like the first guy a lot, but the spikes trash the costume for me. I love the asymmetry with the armor, but them spikes, I can't get over them.

and this.
Spikes make no sense to me. Are they surgically implanted? And the blue clashes too much. I would suggest a darker shade of green. That would make it look more realistic to me.
To fix the awkwardness of the boot on mister sea-monster, put a small metalic peice on the other leg, ideally one that looks like it covers mostly the knee. this should keep the assyemtry, but allow for a more reasonble apperance.
Or I may be totaly out of my mind.
EDIT: I'd change the tentacle foot too. it seems even more out of place with the armor.
The human needs a different color for his arm-guard on the left arm. Maybe just make it pure metallic. The spikes don't look quite right, but I hardly noticed them.
I have no idea why the squid would need a boot, let alone an armored one. You would think it would be hard to swim in armor.
I've made quite a few changes to the sea one (AQUASTRIKE). I'd post a picture, but I'm at work and the champions online image for him hasn't updated yet. What's changed: squid foot is now a regular green foot. Removed Underside blue style and replaced with spots. still a blue, but not so standoutish. added some more cosmetic items and now i'm toying with a finned tail. I'll post a picture up as soon as possible. As soon as I get home I'll start working on your suggestions for the first guy (PATRIOTKNIGHT). Thanks for all the input.
Here's a third member of the P.O.J. i creatied earlier today. First there was human, then there was sea monster, now theres zombie a.k.a. DEADKNIGHT! I've noticed a lot of critques about the spikes on the outfits for PATRIOTKNIGHT and I've used those same spikes and then some on DEADKNIGHT, but i feel they are at least fitting for DEADKNIGHT given his scary image, plus to me the spikes are a gladitorial thing, represent toughness and brutality. Qualities I've attributed to DEADKNIGHT. PATRIOTKNIGHT however could use some calming down, i agree.
Love the Human but like others have sugested i would drop the spikes or if your attached to them try colouring them the same as the costume leg.
Cant say im loving your fish man redux though to be honest i prefered the armour configuration of your first version. If it was me i would consider the following. Stick him in either the beast of huge pose then place the armour on whichever leg is forward (think its left), I would also place heavey armour on the blocking arm if i was intending to use any of the block powers that use the defaul block animation. I would keep the spot skin tone but darken the green and maybe move the blue towards a more sky blue. for fins i would remove the ones from the uperleg and arm (it looks weird having a fin on one side of the body) and instead give him back and head fins (and maybe a tail fin as well).
The Zombie guy seems a lot like a zombified version of the human (a alternate costume even) so i would look at giving him more of his own personality you mentioned him being more brutal so consider a spiked or bladed shoulderpad.
Also as suggested post up the costuem saves its far easyer to show ideas than it is to try and explain them (for me atleast).
