Do you HAVE to untrain the last power you learned or is there something I am missing?

Greetings all-

As a non-recovering alta-holic, I have great personal interest in the undo power ability in the powerhouse. I agree with paying ingame money for it, and even like having the option to pay real world dollars to get buy full retcons (although $20 is super steep in my opinion). The thing I truly dislike is how you can only unlearn the last power you learned and continue in that way. I.e you cannot choose a power you learned mid-career and simply pay more for it, but you must unlearn all other powers first. I just wanted to check with you guys to see if I was not missing something......?

First off, retcons are 1000 cryptic points which is $12.50 (unless youre outside the States, which if your disregard this whole sentence).

Secondly, no you're not missing anything. You have to retcon one thing at a time and it always starts from the last thing you bought. You have to either buy the aformentioned retcon from the store, earn one from a patch, or wait till you are a 40. At 40 you get a free one.

Since you are working with a sandbox type game, this is to prevent Flavor of the Month to a lesser extent. Be happy though, the orginal plan and how things were originally setup is that you could only go back the last 10 choices period. Everything beyond that use to be unchangeable.

You didn't miss anything, it's there to make sure every build is valid.

Whenever you buy a new Power, there's a check against how many Powers you currently possess to determine what you can get. If you could just drop a single early Power without also dropping everything you bought after it, you could in theory end up with a build consisting of pure Tier 3 Powers.

The points don't know what level they were earned at, any free ones are assumed to be earned after the last bought Power (or Advantage, Talent, etc.).

The prevention of constant FotM switching is done through the pricing.
