Controller Pad

How can I use my controller pad in CO? I want to see if I can do without using a keyboard but so far the game somehow won't recognise my controller pad.

Is there anything I need to do to activate the pad? Or are there any setting in-game I need to change?

    Look for Joy2Key Freeware.

    What controller do you have? I use Logitech Profiler to map buttons to keys, but that may not work for controllers made by other companies.

    The game only has built-in support for Xbox 360 gamepads. It will not recognize any regular PC gamepad.

    So what you gotta do is use a third-party program that recognises your gamepad input and converts it to keyboard commands. As TLani said, Joy2Key is a popular choice for this.

    But your gamepad manufacturer might have its own keyboard-spoofing software, so you may wanna check on that. Logitech does, Saitek does, etc.

    (I simply use an Xbox controller; it works great.)
