    After being sick of not knowing what to search for, I decided to compose a list of prefixes for new secondaries. Some of these apply to primaries, as well, but mostly I'm interested in the secondaries because primaries are generally modular.

    There are some major anomalies with the new secondaries. Wherever you see a listed (+STAT) it means that it has an abnormally large bonus to that stat, in addition to what category it falls into. This means that either we have some overstatted gear, or a lot of gimpy secondaries.

    I may format this more later, but after two hours of sorting, this is it for now.

    nice work there.

    for the past few weeks all descriptors that i've seen in science are broken again and not displaying definitions at all. as it stands this is the only reference i've seen that now allows me to reidentify what needs to be found.

    i really can't believe that the system is this messed up and not a word.

    The way it works is secondary items have only a minor prefix, while primary items have a minor and a major.

    Without intent to hijack, sig below has list with all the stats, but none of the effect crafts. I meant to get around to that a while ago, but went on hiatus.

    The benefit is added functionality via:

    Sheet 1: Spreadsheet format
    Sheet 2: Stat Bonuses/craft lvl
    Sheet 3: Filter Searchable List

    No I did not copy and paste Todd's list, this sheet has been up for months. Although I will likely add the non-stat craftables soon, I'm simply not sure if I want to keep the same format for sheet 1.

    This is not a slight to Todd either, who likely spent quite a few hours putting that list together.

    Anyways, sheet in the sig below.

    Here's one that just lists oddTodd's info, but you can filter it by stats, # of stats, type, craft type, etc. If you don't have Office, you can load it into Google Docs (or Microsoft's new office.live.com service).

    Really quick, the Crit Severity prefixes are actually:

    Arms - Destruction
    Mysticism - Fate
    Science - Chem

    Being that I was Dex/Ego for a long, long time, I'm extremely familiar with these three.

    I couldn't find these are prefixes here, or on the wiki.
    They are self explanatory though, maybe that's why no one bothered with it.
    Although, most of these are not locked to specific upgrade slots, so they can be quite handy for boosting non-SS stats.


    Mysticism, Arms and Science, minor prefixes/secondary upgrade slots only, self explanatory:
    Int - defense, utility and offense slots
    Rec - defense, utility and offense slots
    Pre - defense, utility and offense slots
    Str - offense slot only(so far, couldn't find it on anything else)
    Dex - defense, utility and offense slots
    End - defense, utility and offense slots
    Con - offense, utility slots(same as with Str prefix)
    Ego - defense, utility and offense slots

    They give a fixed +13 stat boost on lvl 40 Blue items in addition to a standard +20 minor stat boost.
    Auction house is full of them.

    The stat-name extra prefix can be either the +7 or the +14 bonus, they are only available on secondary items, and they are in addition to the standard prefix. Primary items can have the Legendary prefix, which means they have some sort of bonus.

    All the items i saw in AH had +13 at lvl 40, no exceptions. So dunno.
    I couldn't find them listed anywhere.

    Did they say legendary in front of them? They aren't on the wiki because they can be A) generic items, B) I thought that it assigns the extra stats to random characteristics.

    There's generic-named Very Hard blues for Secondary slots that have no prefix but give +7 to two random stats, but then there's also the Pre/Int/Con/etc. prefixed ones that give +13 to a single stat. (I'm not sure if they drop from Very Hard adventure packs or not, as I've never had one drop for me.)

    No, they were secondary upgrades, so no Legendary prefix. Just buzz through the Auction, lvl 40 items and search for those prefixes. They had one primary stat, usually 20+ and always a +13 of another.

    I am interested to know if Hard items that only get one bonus stat have the prefix as well (or do they have two half-bonuses?). They might not be on the AH because people don't farm them.

    Bit of an old post, but I can confirm that the single-stat prefixed items (Int Sacred _____, for instance) do drop from Serpent Lantern. Got a +13 Int/20 Pre secondary utility item from Viper-X on Very Hard.

    I realize this is an older thread, I realize many of the people who used to post here may have left the game, but I really REALLY would like to see this thread updated for the new gear. Please?

    That would be so wonderfully helpful if that was done. This was one of my more useful gaming-related bookmarks in Firefox. I was about to just delete it, but I'm at least going to try to see if the topic starter is still around.

    Oh yay! There are a whole lot of prefixes on secondaries now, including ones that include varying degrees of +offense or +critical stike or what have you. Also, most of the 3-slot blues or purple primaries have the same suffixes it seems, depending on what they add as a bonus.
