This thread is about the celestial set mostly but can have application to Telepathy and Sorcery too.
I do not like the system as it is now. You have to have no target at all to cast a spell on yourself.
Maybe I am too used to other MMO's I have played. I do not find it natural at all to hit the ESC key in combat. Also if I hit it at the wrong times it will bring up the options menu. I do not understand why I can not just target myself.
Could this be added to the game please. It would make things easier on me.
I have tried to look through the options to find some kind of solution to this problem. Maybe someone could suggest a solution that they have found.
I would like to add another voice to this request.
I am aware that you can "Auto-assist" target while solo to use healing powers on yourself (or on teammates if grouped) without having to clear your target. However, as I have started toying with the Celestial framework as well, this mechanic will simply not work since the powers are dual purpose damage/healing.
Works great. Now, tell me how I go back to selecting the last thing I had targeted so I can go back to hurting or healing it as appropriate?
Oh right, there isn't a command for that. You'll just have to hope and pray the broken tab targeting will find its way through the million things on the screen.
CO needs to borrow the WoW command line feature to let you cast on something that isn't your current power:
/cast target_self "Power"
Additionally the "Shift + #" WoW feature to let you do this optionally to any power w/o needing to write macros. Also, target of target is broken generally...but is especially broken with duel healing/hurting powers...which breaks a bunch of Celestrial for anything but trivial solo usage (go ahead, try using Celestrial Cleansing in PVP to disable travel powers on an enemy).
Yes, please let us go back to what we had targeted before!
I have the numpad keys set up for healing (myself and teammates) like this, where PowerTrayExec 13 is the slot where I have my heal - it's the last slot on the second tray:
I don't recall what the function of "down" is, but I found it in another thread about keybinding, and it works wonderfully, so I'm not going to mess with it.
Ran into this problem during the 13 undead hero fights.
Really annoying accidently healing people that don't need healing when you need to be healing yourself. Then when you clear your target so you can heal yourself you have to tab through a horde of zombies to find the hero again.
Hopefully things like this will get ironed out in the near future.
I have noticed with the xbox controller, when you try to heal yourself it will automaticly select a close friendly target. i love my teamates and all, but not more than myself.

Unfortunately... I have yet to find a go to last target command.
F8 = Target nearest enemy OR last enemy you attacked/got attacked by.
YES PLZ!
I LOL'd a little, then got to thinking... What ever happened to The Divinyls anyway?
That video was hot back in the day.
