The histroy of Nightling.

Often mistaken for the chupacabra, Nightling is a creature of the Void, a dimension of pure darkness. He is over ten thousand years old, a mere child by his race's standards. Using dark powers, he has opened a portal to our dimension. Extremely curious, he explored Millenium city watching the people and thier heroes in action. Nightling started to mimic the heroes he saw, and would take down the city's evildoers.
At first he had problems understanding what was trouble from normal daily actions. He would see a window cleaner high up on a skyscraper and would "rescue" them thinking he where in trouble. Common human affection were another thing he didn't understand, he would attack the males of couples kissing in the park, thinking they were trying to eat the women. The Champions were called out many times to reports of a strange creature attacking citizens throughout the city.
When they finally caught Nightling, Witchcraft used her magic to learn he was not evil, he just didn't understand. After using her magic to communicate, Witchcraft taught him the difference. Nightling now scours the city is search of crime and using his powers to stop evildoers. Don't let his appearance fool you, while he looks like something out of a nightmare, he is only a nightmare to the villains. Nightling can now speak broken english, but mostly doesn't talk at all. So if you see him, don't expect a warm greeting in return.
