60 days ago – Somewhere near the Southwest Desert – Dig Site

Doctor Folia Heart is put in charge of the team there, instructed to find any evidence of what is causing this event with on loan local construction company to assist with the digging with standard machinery later on to have a crane in stage three of the dig. Dr. Heart reports everything is on schedule the first day.

Due to strange circumstances with missing personnel at night during the first break of earth that had over the years covered a mysterious vertical shaft, a makeshift elevator is being made from use of the crane on site with a box cage to enter the site below the dig site, General Daggoth Stonecroft came onto the scene a day after it was opened. A cemented dome base and metal reinforced dome was made for controlled access, due to security the area around the dig site and those inside have to remain until the all clear is given by General Stonecroft. Captain Garus had noted that both the Dig Leader and the Seismic Scientist are among the missing, with that known moral among the workers there is low while growing superstition of the dig site to being cursed ground. Dr. Folia Heart has been able to keep most everyone calm reassuring them that they will be found and curiosity got the better of them, with that said General Stonecroft will lead the detachment of his soldiers that came along by his request.

No word or sound has come from General Stonecroft or any of his men, lockdown of the site is still in effect which has the civilians worried. Some have reported erratic behavior only to disappear an hour later, some that are restrained seem to be breaking down mentally as though trying to run away from the shadows. Some of the regular soldiers as well have similar incidents as one was seen jumping into the opened shaft. Captain Garus ordered his men to keep anyone else from jumping into the shaft to prevent loss of life, while Dr. Folia Heart attempts to maintain order on a worsening situation.

General Stonecroft and some of his soldiers returned to the surface, ordering Captain Garus and half of his men to take a shift of position in the area below as his men will help keep order. Since General Stonecroft came back to the surface reports show that he had found the missing personnel and that they will stay there to further explore the ruins. Dr. Folia Heart and her research team had volunteered to enter and examine the ruins, confirming that everything is under control at the site.

Up until now steady reports had shown that everything at the Dig Site was under control and the civilian dig team was sent home with pay. An emergency radio message on the other hand lasting roughly 4 minutes had said otherwise, this woman had referred to herself as being one of Captain Garus’ soldiers. The audio is as followed. “Is anyone out there receiving this?! The Dig Site is NOT secure and these Pale *******s have been taking over the Camp! I request that immediate artillery strikes on the Dig Site and its surrounding structures! I’m not crazy and so are my squad mates, something is wrong with Captain Garus he would never just shoot someone! AHHH-“ *during the whole recording there were guns being fired in the background as two sets of walking entering the range of the radio.* “Room Secure sir, lethal force had to be used since they were unstable..” General Stonecroft speaking as he picked up the radio. “Tell me exactly what those said to you and may your god be willing I don’t find out your name and put you on **** duty if you lie to me son. Some of Garus’ men have been odd of late so I have been ordering psyche evaluations by my medical staff.” After this incident a independent group of specialists were called in to confirm weather or not one conflicting opinion was false, only to conclude that it appeared the squad had acted out on it’s own and there were no other signs of death or speculation that General Stonecroft had lost control of the base. Though one of the specialists thought it was odd during the mess hall meals some of the persons there had coughed until drinking water and that almost all of them were pale in skin color. It was in the end concluding that to dehydration as a cause.

Now – Somewhere near the Southwest Desert – Base Dark Core – formerly the Dig Site

Operations are smooth as expected and under strictest security protocols’ enacted by General Stonecroft, turning the base into a top of the Line R&D and Super entity research and defense programs. Receiving additional funding by politicians that are agreed to such defenses is needed against the fear of being helpless to another hero event such as the result of Doctor Destroyer.
Though one thing is for certain, something odd is happening at that base even if evidence says otherwise..
