SOME emotes require a target to function

But I've used this emote on it's own many times in-game and I've never needed to target anyone to use it. I'm soooo confused:confused:

Yeah, that would avoid upsetting team mates i think

I've been using catchphrases on several of my powers (the less frequent ones of course) and catchphrases with emote keybinds and costume changes with local for a long while on all 3 of my most-used characters, i've had a couple people make negative remarks (about as many as from people who said they find Dr Cerebellums visible brain 'gross') but for every complaint there's been heaps more messages from others telling me they loved it. I've gotten friend requests and team invites out of it and a whole lot of thanks for adding to their fun. Not to mention a fair few people asking how it's done.

If you do go local i'd advise only the following:
Keep the lines characterful, appropriate to the genre and where appropriate to the character nice and cheesy.

That way it helps keep things immersive and fun, enriching the gaming comic-book hero experience.

From Dr Cerebellum's battlecry of "Face Volterrific Justice!" when she unleashes her stunning electrocution to the shocked emote of Professor AntHead saying "Wha.. What Happened?" when she returns to human form or the roaring of her transformation into her ferocious formic form it can all add up to a more enjoyable more characterful game.

Oh, wow. I read in another thread that /playersay DOES only show up for the person who uses it.

That makes it... more than a little useless, especially for this. Wonder if this is working-as-intended, or a bug.

I did not know that playersay showed the bubbles to everyone.
    That is... Useful.

No... it doesn't. It shows up only for the person who uses the command - if I /playersay GREETINGS! I'm not gonna get a reply, because no one else can even see it.

If you use $target in your bind, it'll say the name of whatever you're targeting. So, I'll use $target in binds such as:

/bind f1 "local Concentrate your attacks on $target!"
