Drop rate for epiphanies

Would people please post there best guess at the drop rate for epiphanies and greater epiphanies.
I believe it is in the 1 to 2% range but would like to get some clarification from players who have done more crafting than I have and hopefully even if they cannot give us the exact numbers a developer could let us know if we are in the ball park. I like the idea of crafting but have limited time to play and do would like to know what I am in for with high level crafting so that I can determine if it is worth pursuing.

If the drop rate is determined to be in the 1 to 2 percent range I will probably pass.

If the percent is in the 5 to 10% range then I will just keep going and hope to get lucky.
Here is my best guess at the drop rates on my one character with 243 crafting and from now on I will set up a spreadsheet and keep track of attempts and successes. I was not doing the go for high level 4/4 or 5/5 until I read some of the posts in the forums so I will do that to get better results but all levels help.
For 201 - 300
Rank tries Drops My percentage
1/5 25 0 0%
2/5 10 0 0%
3/5 2 0 too small sample
4/5 2 0 too small sample
5/5 1 0 too small sample
For 301 - 400
1/5
2/5
3/5
4/5
5/5

if others do not mind filling in their experience I would appreciate the numbers and maybe one of the devs will give us the actual percents.
Thank you,
Herogamer

how do i get mild epiphanies at 260 crafting at lvl 29? because 100-200 i only got one out of plenty of 5/5's and i wasnt able to purchase all the consumable blueprints that require mild epiphanies

Yeah, this seems pretty screwed up getting insights. It seems like it has been 10 levels since I got an insight. There are tons of things that I am plenty high enough level for, but can't buy because I like the insights. There should maybe be some conversion crafting that lets you convert slight to mild, mild to regular, etc. ANd then up the prevalence of slight insights or something.

My skill is at 275 and I've received 1 insight total. I don't even try disassembling unless I can reach 5/5.

When you mean reach 5/5 is that on a single item? You can research multiple items and it will get the rating up to 5/5 but I'm not sure if that helps out at all.

I have my skill at 400, and have done for about one level and have been building it up since the pre-start. I have no idea if the drop rates were changed at any point so this is just my experience.

I have deconstructed every science item I have found (apart from the ones currently equipped) as well as a couple that I crafted for testing. I've been pretty focused in my stat choices and so i've mostly picked science items whenever I could, and always when none of the items were useful, so I've deconstructed quite a lot.

So far my total stands a (based off known recipes in regular and specific stores)t:
11 Slight Epiphanies, 14 mild epiphanies, 5 regular epiphanies and 9 greater epiphanies.

So I have learned every mild epiphany recipe (and had one mild epiphany spare) and all but one slight epiphany recipe. I still have about 9 (regular) epiphany recipes and 42 greater epiphanys to go.

I will say that I wasn't particularly up on the crafting rules as I dashed to mid twenties, so I was deconstructing items singly rather than combining to get 5/5s, which may explain why I have gained more minor and slights than (regular) epihpanies.

@digital_shaman: I don't think I've found a single 5/5 rating item working from 301-400, so combining items is the only way to get a higher chance of epiphanies. It's taking a lot more effort to find decent quality items to deconstruct now that i've maxed my skill, but I'm nearly 40 so have plenty of time to work on that I guess ;)

The problem I think is that there is 0 percent chance for 1/5 2/5 3/5 and only a tiny chance for 4/5 and 5/5. This is what I would like to try to figure out. I think the chance is so small that most people who do crafting will not see the 200-300 and 300-400 drops or will get a most 1 or 2. I also think they significantly lowered the drop rate after the headstart so anyone who got to 300 or 400 before they lowered the rate probably could not get there on a new character and get as many.

These are just my impressions from reading the posts about the drop rate.

It would be nice to get an idea of what the percentage is.

I am fairly certain that the percentage on 1/5 and 2/5 is 0 and am fairly certain 3/5 is 0 also.
4/5 is probably 1 percent or 0 and 5/5 is probably 1 percent or 2 percent.
Hopefully we get enough data to find out.

my experience is that braking down 5/5 at 400 science is about 20% . as for 1 item 5/5 brake downs .. you need to brake down purples.
