For those that may be interested, I've posted a basic tutorial of how I do my "cel-shaded" art.
Check it out here

That tutorial has a lot of boobage. I assume it's geared toward male artists, not female?

Because no females appreciate boobage? Or draw female characters?

Eh, it's more just the gratuitous boobage. It reminds me of the majority of female characters in Champions. *sigh* One person from the forums asked me to come and review their costume once. No joke. They were in canada and had no more than maybe 6 square inches of cloth on the whole costume... Seriously. "Is my costume accurate for a Cherokee?" "Well, considering you're in a place that's completely frozen over and you're almost stark naked. No."

It's geared towards people who are interested in how I do my cel pieces. It only helps if they aren't horrified by the female form.

Perhaps later I'll do one with a nun, for those easily offended, but for now, this is it.

Look at it this way - with the way the current world over-analyses the female form to vastly greater degrees than the male form, it's harder to get away with a poor female figure. You can add more muscles than are physically possible on the Hulk and have him run around in a loincloth and no one says anything. You add a unseeming wrinkle to She-Hulk's forehead while she's dressed up like Ironman and people freak out that she's aging, that comic book characters don't age, that her Hulk-ness should stop aging, that she looks ugly, etc etc etc.

Besides, it's just a tutorial. He has to pick something and one certainly doesn't expect him to use a very complex piece that beginners might end up losing track of due to excessive lines and contours. It's a simple piece one can easily follow - nothing more, nothing less. Don't read too much into things.

One should stop looking at the stragglers that want attention and look at the people that aren't trying to get attention - one will note that all of those wallhuggers are sans-OMG VIRTUAL BOOGAGE.

And I was teasing you in return. I'm not really going to do a nun tutorial.

    Well, maybe.

Ha! Well, I'll be reopening commissions at some point, if you need to get your fix of nun.

    Great tut!

One of these days I'd like to take a stab at doing more comic style illustrations. In all the years I've used Photoshop, I have never clicked on the pen tool. :o

One of my characters is (loosely) based on a nun-like appearance.

But ... but ... but ... with my "resist cold charm"? ^.~

I think that much of the "boobage" in the game comes because of the standard-options. If you use them to get a roughly build to start from you have to reduce the boobage on purpose and if this is just not important, you may forget (as i do often).

I think Metal is talking less about SIZE than EXPOSURE.

You ned to add a 'resist gawking and drooling' charm to your lineup.

Exposure isn't it either - nude doesn't imply gawking (may make it a little easier though). Cleavage is probably the better term - the way the breasts are presented even if they're all covered up, even if you can't see most or all of it.
