Hello everyone.

Easymask/Kessler here.
Norwegian lad with a renewed taste for Champions Online.

I've just ordered the game, after debating with myself for quite some time - not really sure if I should invest time and money in the game or not. I guess my love for Superhero themed games got the better of me, and thus I had a few questions for the lot of you.

Is there any good guides to the game out on the forums?

Can I design my hero any way I want to, and still do good PvE and PvP-wise?

How's the end game content? (I've heard there's a small amount, but please do endulge me into the whole PvP/PvE aspect of late game CO)

Is the game casual to semi-hardcore friendly?

The PvP system, any good? Can I have fun PvPing every once in a while from level 1-40 ?

Thanks everyone, I'm not sure this should go in the Introductions thread or not.

    Hello.

Guides, a few, but I can't think of any I would point to at the moment.

You can make your hero most any way you wish sure. A caveat though in that if you're use to or prefer to stand-and-smash things, you will want to take certain types of powers. If you're willing to adapt to the powers you have, be mobile, and play to what you're given, you have a greater variety of choices. PvP is PvP though so if you intend on PvPing I would recommend making a PvP specific character and not bother about concept as the nature of PvP necessitates being dynamic and willing to change powers as popular strategies come and go.

End-game, there's Unity missions and such. I can't say as I haven't gotten there myself.

IDepending on who you ask the game is either very very hard or very very easy so I would say it's casual-hardcore.

PvP, outside of the competitive environment is much like PvP in any multi-player game - most of it will depend on who you're playing against.

Sounds grand sagittary, thank you for the information. :)

I guess I'll be having a blast then - casual-hardcore sounds appealing to me.

As I mentioned to you earlier today, there is a broad range of casual to hardcore, so there will always be a certain niche you'll fit quite comfortably into!

Guides - There are a lot of what the players who created them would call guides, but as usual, the best way to get yourself through the game (and even character creator!) is just roll with what feels right to you, ask around for advice, and don't religiously follow one person's doctrine. Play for you.

End game content - This is severely lacking right now, but with the first expansion (Blood Moon) coming out next month, and so many players currently lamenting this situation, I'm sure it will be solved relatively soon. Most likely before you cap your first character.

PvP - I'm not big on PvP, but from what I have seen, melee is currently the weakest of the bunch, with most ranged classes faring very well. If you want to PvP... don't go melee like I have, lol.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
