Link to this week's cover of Time.
So, this week, Time is beginning a year-long look at the run-down city of Detroit in the real world, and beginning to journal the story they find there. It's a very serious story, Motown isn't the cornerstone of America it once was. I think it's a bold move, to call attention to a quietly tragic domestic story in an attempt to set things right.
That having been said, it's also ripe for photoshopping! My gosh, if I had any skill, I'd be all over this!
Anyone want to take a crack at The Tragedy of Detroit, as told in some alternate history that is familiar to us Millenium City residents?

MC in certain spots could be called the "perfect" city.
That cover... well it speaks for itself.
Would it be great if D-town could have an MC type happy ending? Yes, but i don't see where the money is going to come from right now.

.
it's the good ol' dark humor at work. We know it's bad, but we can't help cracking a joke.
Just kidding. We (Detroiters) are all thrilled that we made the cover of Time Magazine in a way that only Detroit could. It's almost as good as having the most losingest football team of all time and space.
Your city is just painted in every shade of bad, isn't it?
It's been going downhill since Robocop. :P
