I'm wondering if the crafted items get better vs. dropped items in the 300+ range. I'm finding that at lvl 25 and 245 arms crafting the drops are still much better than what I can make.
I'm talking about the crafted items that you can select stats for. Yes, it is nice to be able to pick your stats on items. But, honestly I'm having no issue getting drops that already have the stats I want with a higher bonus and usually a small bonus to an extra stat.
For example: Xenomorph Style (dropped item) +4 str +4 dex +1 rec. With crafting I can make +4 str +4 dex. This is just a slight difference but there are drops with better like Stubborn Will +5 str +4 dex +1 con. These are the same level items as the one I can craft and are far superior. The defense stats can on the craftables are only better if you slide the scale up to the rare side.
Are craftable items supposed to be inferior to dropped items? If so, what is crafting for other than consumables and bags? Even item replacers are really not worth the stat loss (though with the stat diversification coming down the pipe maybe that 6.5% chance to proc a little more damage will be worth the stat loss).
What am I missing about crafting?
