What Do You Spend Your Resources On?

So there's been a big push to add more money to the game economy, upping mission rewards, item drops, and whatnot. I don't understand why this is important, as I'm not really sure what I need money for in the first place. So far I've been spending most of my resources on learning blueprints and tweaking my character's look at the tailor.

So where are you spending your resources?

    Retconning mainly.

crafting recipes and retcon, and there are also healing devices that you can purchase from stores. That's the major use of resources.

Are there any plans on other uses of resources Antiproton?

Like temp powers with charges, or fun things like.. I dunno, fireworks and other fun effects? I remember finding a fanboy hand which I could slap other heroes with, I would pay resources for stuff like that.

I would absolutely love for them to add a costume store to the game so that in addition to the unlocks you get, you can go and purchase other items from them that aren't included in the other costume unlocks. While I know it might not be a huge draw for some, it would give me something to do and a place for all of those resources to be dumped. :o

My only problem since the patch this morning is lack of items to research with. Sure, I got my bag full of white items to sell, but they are not for doing research at the table on. If you put white items in, we are talking about no less than TEN to get a 5/5.

Yes, getting a lot of stuff to sell at the store is nice, but it is making crafting a pain in the butt.

I should note that the character I tested this on is lvl 24, and just hit 225 crafting.

What they are doing right now is assbackwards.

Everything about the economy was fine EXCEPT the retcon costs (which are about 100 times too expensive).

When 99 things work, and 1 is broken, do you fix the 1 thing or the 99? You fix the 1, right?

    Not so here.

Now we are getting TONS of crap trash loot we have to lug back to a vendor to sell.... just like any other cliched WoW style MMO. *yawn* Lame.

Changing retcon costs directly would have broken the economy. You can't just radically alter one variable like that and have no side-effects. What they did here was exactly what they should have done: alter all the variables with a goal of changing exactly one resulting effect and not affecting any others. Whether or not they have been successful in getting the numbers right is unclear, but the basic method is correct.
