Maybe being able to put enhancements on slots that weren't meant to carry them wasn't intended, but if it wasn't, why am i wasting money crafting, when it offers absolutely nothing that won't be found while out hunting or questing?
Why am i breaking down every arms item i find for skill-ups, instead of vendoring them, and getting those same items from quest for free?
Though I can understand the sentiment, let's be fair about this.
Building one's own consumables isn't a really a write-off, nor are bags so those are at least something to consider especially as the consumables to buy far as I'm aware aren't necessarily the exact same in effect. Though there isn't much yet dropped blueprints are also a consideration.
I'll admit though for the sake of grinding up 400 points and making items it would be nice to see an incentive to use crafted gear over dropped, otherwise why not just buy dropped stuff.

YEAH! it is so you can make some super heroic purses! makes perfect sense, batman always had a bat fannypack after all.
I've never used the consumables before, that part didn't occur to me.
The ordinance seems to be mostly a huge cash dump though, if it offers nothing over normal equipment.
I was thinking for a second that, maybe the stat hard-cap was put into place so people would use power replacers, but then i realized that there are a handful of quest/drop items for your primary offense slot, that have significantly better effects than a small chance for a damage proc, and if you actually did use them, those are still available from quest/drops.
I'd like to see them re-vamp crafting so that you can make custom stat items for every slot. Just limit the stats by skill tree (for example, Arms for STR/CON/END, Science for DEX/INT/REC, and Mysticism for EGO/PRE/<insert randomness here>). This would encourage folks to either go through every craft tree for their 'uber' items, or elsewise stimulate the economy by encouraging folks to ask characters with different crafting specialties to make things for them (if they didn't want to have one toon per skill tree).
I thought the idea behind crafting was to be able to make your own gear til something better dropped.
With the new revamp it's next to impossible. I am arms at skill lvl 242, researched about 20 items and not only did I not level, but never received an "insight" inorder to craft an item. I don't know if it's bugged or not but not getting the materials to be able to craft is a big pain.

What do you think he kept all those gadgets, sprays, acids and experimentel virus exfolients in? His mouth?
A single belt?
I always thought he was a cyborg, like Inspector Gadget.
