Chat - How do I reply to a tell?

Hey gang,

A friend of mine got the game (after much prompting by myself) and he's working at leveling up his character so we can play together. So, we chat while he's leveling and I'm playing a different character.

When he sends me a tell/whisper, how do I reply to it? I believe I've tried the following:

t

    It's BACKSPACE. Probably the only one you didn't try.

    It's only 'r' if you picked 'Like Fantasy' controls, which is the default WoW reply keybind.
    I dunno about the other sets.

    You can edit it to whatever you want.... the very last item in the Key bind tab... LOL
