Hi, I'm playing out of Japan (Hokkaido the Snow Country).

I rarely play (thanks to everyday maintenance at the moment) but when I do it would be neat if there were other people from Japan or Asia to play with! I'm at work from (GMT+9) 8am until around 2-3pm everyday and my spouse doesn't approve of games so I don't get on too much, but I want to play 3-5 hours a week if I can manage it!

I speak English, Japanese and I'm working on my Chinese, so if you know any of these languages and want to banter or play together let me know!

Nice to meet you all, I'm looking forward to this being a good game!

koibito wa nihongo no sensei desu - w

Although I am divorced now though, so I should probably not say wife anymore. Too long since I used JP.
I live in Norw-yay, but my ex-wife were Japanese and we used to play Final Fantasy XI together :)

Yeah, you probably shouldn't be referring to your ex-wife as your lover:). Sorry to hear about the divorce, but I hope everything went well for you:(

boku mo sensei desu ga - wwwww

I'm an instructor as well, but not of Japanese. That would require certification that I don't have, but may try to get later.

Are you looking at this new Final Fantasy MMORPG? XIV? Do you have any thoughts on it? I never played XI, but I do enjoy Final Fantasy and plan on picking up XIII when it's released in Japan this December.

Been a fan of the FF series for ages, so I will definately pick up XIII and XIV. I think XIII looks amazing, and so does XIV from the footage I've seen. It feels alot like a updated FFXI, just the way I would want it, hehe.

I'm not quite sure japan players want to chat in game over actually playing. lol They have communities for what you are looking for.

I go to Japan quite a bit, as that's my fiance's family's homeland, I'd love to get her brothers into this game. I'm sure they'd love it! But english isn't their primary language, obviously...
I wish this game was avaliable in more languages such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.

Though, that may further make worse the internet attiction camps in China? lol!

You make a good point. Japanese players are notorious for not chatting in their online games.
One case: I bought White Knight Chronicles for the PS3 and tried to chat with people before a quest since I couldn't read the quest goals on my low-def TV. Nothing, they just ran away and started killing stuff. Also it's a big reason why they didn't add voice chat for that game in Japan.

I don't think I've ever met a Japanese person who would use a headset while playing. My friend had an xbox here in Japan though and he said that sometimes Japanese people would play with headsets so maybe it's just the PS3 and MMOrpgs.

Heheh its good to hear that people from Japan are playing.

I was wondering have you tried making any Japanese super heroes? Like Karmen Rider, I tried to myself, but they don't have the right costume pieces :(.

I am also trying to make a Sonic Blastman. :)

I bet you could almost make Pepsiman! I'd like to see more monster type faces, then you could make a big ol' Godzilla!

I grew up watching japanese cartoons back in the 70's/80's.
I'd Just love to have "Mecha" human faces a la Daitarn 3 or some "Kikaider" parts in the character creator...

My wife is from Yokohama and she loves MMO's (has a hero on my account, but wont leave WoW yet), however getting her to talk in any way shape or form online is harder than picking the lottery numbers for the next 10 draws in a row.

    Hajimemashi te:)

I am an American living near Yokosuka, Japan. No, I'm not military -anymore. I teach English at the junior high and elementary schools. I'm on pretty much every night either before or after patching is done.

I saw a guy in the power house the other day who had made a pretty good Guyver toon.

Not really from Japan, but I am Japanese-American, living on the East Coast.

Tried to make 'Rent-a-Hero' but I did see the EULA doesn't really allow that.

Not to offend, but you must have pretty bad ADD if you couldn't make Ultraman. Is there a single costume that would be easier to produce than that?
I'd really be impressed if someone could pull off a Lynn Minmay from Macross or a Ronin Warriors costume! Huh!? How about them apples?

I'm certainly not from Japan, but I'm happy to see people from the other side of the world playing Champions!

Hmm, I've tried to make a Lelouch character, but the game isn't really set up for it.

I also tried to make an Edward Elric, but the costume editor won't let you combine a robotic arm with a coat. :(

Ah yes the ol' No Robotic Arms with Coats Act of 1993...

I had to google this Lelouch guy, but I would think that you'd have a hard time trying to create any CLAMP character in Champions Online. If you're going to go that route though why not create a Kamui!
