Do the Munitions pistol unlocks work for the Gadgeteering pistol?

I did a search and found conflicting posts that say yes and no.

Anyone know for sure?

    Since no one had an answer, I rolled a new character and tested this out for myself.

    The munitions pistol costume unlocks DO allow you to change the appearance of the gadgeteering energy builder power.

    Makes me wonder about similar situations. There's one power replacer that works on TK powers but the telepathy line has some TK-based powers.
