Insights?

What are Insights and how do I get them? do I only get a few each level or is it somthing I can aquire like gold or components? And If I only get a few can I get back ones ive already spent because I just wasted a mild Insight.

    You receive insights from researching/disassembling gear at the crafting table. The greater the value of the items you disassemble the greater the chance you will receive an insight. Try to get a full 5/5 at the bottom of the Research window to maximize your chances.

    Drop rate is way too low, I have yet to get a regular insight - level 25 280ish arms and I decon everything.
    Getting rather frustrating not being able to get some good (better) recipes or even the conversion items.

    I've gotten more Profundities (the Mysticism Tier 3 Insights) than I am ever likely to need, but for the life of me, I can't get any of the lower tier ones.

    As for how to get them, find an item near your current skill level with a low material cost. Make enough of them so that you can do a 5/5 research (and do so), then remake the items (you'll lose some materials, how much depends on what you are making). But as it's very hard to get good star ratings on lower level equipment, this only works for the Tier you are currently in.
