Hi. I am running my first toon which is utility, heals, dps. For some reason I have lost nameplates. I only get nameplates on mouseover regardless of the settings I have made in the options. This is a nuisance for a healer but it also means I can't find my friends in a crowd or even my teammates. It wasn't like this at the outset - something changed that I cannot figure out. Even reset to default makes no difference. Help?

It's a bug for which Cryptic has offered no explanation or acknowledgment as far as I can tell. /bug it in game. MAYBE this will help them realize this needs to get fixed ASAP. It is asinine that such an obvious bug got through QA.
What the hell kind of MMO doesn't let you toggle other player names on all the time? It's practically a freaking requirement. Why is this not a priority fix?
It used to work fine, then one day, probably after a patch it stopped. It still works under certain circumstances, such as in duels though. A fix would be nice.

Heck if I know. I really wonder if there is a QA department. It took me 3 seconds to realize the names weren't showing up. Why can't Cryptic respond to this? Something like "We're aware of the problem and hope to have a fix by X day." would be nice.
That bug still bums me out being a partial Healer build. I was jokingly thinking this was a temporary fix to lessen latency but since another mentioned this bug is still on the test server I think I'll stay away till this is addressed.
There's been two patches since this problem came to light, and it was mentioned to the devs on the test server forums BEFORE it went live. They also broke the targeting option "Center Outwards", and it's distance based variant. So basically, they broke the UI.
*sigh*
Currently, tab targeting in the middle of a fight is like playing russian roulette, as you never know who you're targetting next. And since the nameplates almost never show anymore, you can't know who to target next unless you toggle out of mouselook mode and run your mouse cursor over each and every object of interest. For an action based game, that is really, really not good.

This needs to be addressed. Just adding fuel.

So, in the name of my friend Oscar Rogers;
Fix It.
(and nerfs teleport! Double yay!)
