is there some trick to getting the closed trenchcoat?

Whenever I select the closed trench option, the "tail" part of the trench goes away - it's only there on the open version. Now, I'm fairly sure I've seen the closed trench+tail in screenshots. Is it available in another section, buried away in some illogical place (the options I'm using are under "jackets")?

    I'm not in character creation right this second but i did run into same issue.
    I beleave if you go to legs portion ans us drop down up top for skirt with pants then you can select the closed trench bottom.

    Closed top and open bottom will not work!

    I do not think there is an option for a closed top and open bottom.

    There is a closed bottom portion as an option under medium skirts iirc.
