    Can't tell you how many times I've gone to report a bug (even in beta) only to be told my post contained profanity - when it clearly did not. Worse, I couldn't report the words that seemed to be the trigger, since I'd be told "This post contains profanity. That is not permitted" when I tried.

    I think they strip out spaces then apply a word search. There are companies out there who get paid to come up with stupid terms to put in these filters. It really beggers belief some of the things they add to the filters. I can only assume they get paid by the word.

    I worry about people making bug reports who can't figure out there's an option to turn the profanitiy filter off. I really do.

    It's not just words in English, either. Apparently I #&%^ stop to the Qularr invasion, because "put" and "a" cannot be together, even with a space in between.

    That gave me a good laugh because I actually recognize the word and I never noticed that got filtered before.

    Epic fails. I went on a very brief rant in Zone chat the other day. I tried to keep it clean. Apparently, "blasted" and "butt" were too foul for the ears of our local hero population. So, instead, I come across like I'm cursing up a blue streak, and my timid rant looked more like a tempered explosion. Hmm, yes. CO makes me sound like one of those "cool kids". Hurray, #$%^&@ filters!
