Weapon skins.

When i equipped a Bulwas of the bonfire, my weapon skin turned from swords to mace. I find them really ugly, so i went to the tailor to see change it, but i can't. No matter what weapon skin i select, i will get the two maces no matter what as long as i have the bulwas equipped.
I thought that the idea of this game was to have your char look the way you wanted, with the gear you wanted. So is this just a bug, or do all weapon equips have a certain skin that you can't change?

    They're called power replacers. As long as you have that item equipped your swords will stay that way. Its not that hard to find another item with better stats then the weapon items (I see them mostly just for the weapon skin only and equip it for one second and delete them from my inventory).

    Delete?? Experiment or sell is a better option


    Power repalcer will make your weapons look like them as long as in slot. Just get another replacer with same stats but a different weapon.
