How do you set the Camera.down bind?

According to this thread,

http://forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=35361

Camera tilt can be set with the commands; camera.down and camera.up

However when trying to bind this to a key,
(example: /bind y "camera.down")

I get the following message in my chat window,

"Camera.down" takes 1 argument(s).
camera.down <int>

Assuming it might work closer to binding forward, left or right, I unbound the y key and next tried the bind

/bind y "+camera.down"

This time I got no message but pressing the Y key did nothing at all.

As I don't know what the specific integer for the camera.down/up command I need is (I tried 1 and 0 both to no effect) I'm left stumped. Does anyone know how I can set the camera tilt???

You need to add a number after the /bind, i.e.
    /bind y camera.down 5

I'm not sure if you need the quotes and I'm not at home where I can test it, but try it both ways. That and I thought camera.down was camera_down. Perhaps it works both ways since I know the "_" is optional (it just makes it easier to read).

You can use just the slash command in the chat window (/camera_down 5) to see if you like how much it looks down and then change the 5 to a larger or smaller number until you get it just right. Then use the /bind command.

I've finally gotten look up and down on my keyboard by binding it that way and then just tapping. It's not as elegant or nice as being able to push and hold a key to look up and down, but it works.

I don't think that command is what you're looking for. That command pretty much is a one shot deal of lowering the camera by the float value entered. I don't know what use that would be to someone during play, but I don't see it. I'm at work, so I don't know the command you're looking for.

Are you sure? According to the guide in the link I posted in the original post,

"Camera.down - Tilts the camera down.
Camera.up - Tilts the camera up."

I would have thought the camoffset command would handle something like that. Besides, attempts to just enter /camera.down 20 did nothing noticeable.

Man, where's Curveball when you need 'm?

Aha, back on my home computer and I've found that I bound the following commands:

/bind J adjustcampitch -10 (makes you look down)
/bind L adjustcampitch 10 (makes you look up)

Where "J" and "L" are keys of your choice and "10" can be any whole number.

To test before you bind use /adjustcampitch 10 in the chat window.

To make it easier to read you can also use adjust_cam_pitch 10

If you edit your keybinds.txt document directly then you would type the line
J "adjustcampitch -10" (with the quotes)

    Good luck!

So close!! It's choppy(have to press the button for each incremental adjustment) but at least now I can adjust the tilt manually.

Now we just need to figure out how to set this for smoother motion.

As far as I know, the Camera.down and Camera.Up options were supposed to change the "vertical" offset of the camera (or at least I would think that they would). BUT, currently, they do nothing. I've asked quite a bit on how you would go about changing the vertical offset of the camera, but the thread gets ignored as usual. I know you can change the horizontal offset with /camoffset... but not sure how to change the vertical offset :\

This is EXACTLY what i want to know too. Its essential for doing nice screenshots, yet i don´t get this to work.

Does anyone know how to do vertical camera-offsets? I know the Command-List already, but i can´t figure that one out..

I've been asking since closed beta. No luck so far xD The only thing I know is that the Shooter's Control Scheme sets the vertical offset higher. But I don't find it significant or to my liking. At least not completely.

I'd like a vertical offset command. It would make being gigantic more fun.

No point in doing it now that the devs have removed the way of becoming absolutely gigantic, sadly.

A vertical offset command would have other uses besides using it when you're super huge. o.O
