Items that enhance powers tagged as "fighting"

I just picked as my loot for SiniSister the Circlet of the Scarlet Moon. This bit of kit says that it enhances powers tagged as "fighting" with 25% Energy Strength and +8.2 offense.

Well, I put it on, and it says it's now enhancing my Shadow Bolt. Not my bite as I'd hoped, or any of my other powers. I don't seem to be able to see what powers are tagged as fighting before putting the item on, which is a bit awkward.

Anyhows, my Shadow Bolt is not doing any more damage than it did before. In fact it is completely unchanged by the experience, so far as I can tell.

Does anyone know whats going on with this?

    /bump I have similar gear questions. Very vague info in the game.

    I think it just enhances the Tier 0 power in every tree.

    It'd be helpful if it just said "energy builder" then :( And it doesn't seem to have improved my energy builder in any way, either.

    From the description it seems it should have increased the energy gain from it. Are you sure it's didn't?

    From what I seen Energy strength is really an energy cost modifier (look at travel powers description they say -15% energy strength when I read them last)
    As for +8.2 offense that a little bit of extra damage (only problem is you most likely lost the same bonus or more due to the drop in your super stats).

    Don't really know about the others, but it doesn't effect TK Darts. 0 lvl on TK tree.
