Okay, I began playing sometime around 4pm EST, and the whole time I have been trying to correct a problem I'm having. In the options and in the character creator, and pretty much anyplace there is a drop-down menu, when I click on a different selection in the menu it doesn't switch. Let me give you an example:
Character Creator...
I want to change my costume to leather... it is default set to cloth. If I click on leather or metal, it does not select it. It goes back to cloth. I can move my mouse over the selections, and the selections turn orange, but when I click it does not pick it. This happens with every drop-down menu in the game. What I end up having to do is hold my cursor over the selection and press enter. It is the only way it will select another option.
This also happens with changing colors. I end up having to click my mouse very quickly about five times or more for the palette to come up. And then I have to click on the new color about 10 times before it selects it.
I turned off all of my mouse software "Logitech MouseWare and SteadyMouse," but that did not make a difference. I checked all of my drivers and everything is up to date. I am running Windows 7, and I have tried using no compatibility, Vista SP2, and XP SP3 compatibility, there's no difference at all in the different compatibility settings. I tried running it as administrator, I tried disabling visual effects, I tried using all different DPIs, different resolutions, nothing is working.
Also, in the game I have to click a target about six times before anything happens.
This is not due to lag, I have clicked once and waited a minute to see what happens, but nothing happens. I'm using Windows 7 and a GeForce 8800 GTS. I've never had this problem with any game, even new games.
I keep receiving a server error when I try to post my DXDiag here , or attach it.
I am aware that the game has not been tested on Windows 7 and it is not completely supported, but like I said, I tried all different compatibility modes and I have the same results.
Please help me with this, I am getting incredibly frustrated because I have been working on trying to fix it for the last three hours.
Having the same issue with clicking on options for character builds using Vista. Once in the game, however, the mouse seems to act as I'd expect it to.
This is a shot in the dark but maybe you could check to see if your mouse has any new drivers that can be downloaded? If you bought the mouse seperately from your pc than you oughtta have a cd with it.
IDK just trying to help

Thank you for trying, but I think I figured out the problem finally.
I used MSCONFIG to stop all startup programs and unnecessary services, and now Champions is working perfectly.
My thought is SteadyMouse is conflicting with it. But for anybody that needs to use SteadyMouse, you can set the program to your needs, restart your computer, and then stop SteadyMouse from starting up with your computer. Your computer will save the mouse settings in the registry.
I do however strongly urge the Devs to look into this problem as it is an accessibility incompatibility. I'm sure that you know as software developers that accessibility is becoming more and more important nowadays and should always be a standard in any software.
Personally, I use SteadyMouse to accelerate the mouse movement because I use a pretty old trackball that does not have very high sensitivity settings like the newer ones do. I'm using a Logitech MarbleMouse with four buttons. I'm only able to use this trackball because of a physical disability I have, and the way the buttons are positioned around the ball, and the ball is elevated higher than the buttons and still centered in the middle, it is perfectly shaped for my hand. I use both left buttons as my left and right mouse buttons, and I don't use any of the right mouse buttons.
For the developers to debug this, this is what you should know...
Logitech MouseWare is no longer in development, therefore I use Logitech MouseWare 9.79.1.25. It is available at http://download.cnet.com/Logitech-MouseWare/3000-18491_4-12756.html. It is the last version that Logitech made. The new software that Logitech makes does not support the button configuration I use... something I'm going to mention to them.
Once MouseWare is installed, I use the following settings:
Sensitivity All the Way up
Acceleration on High
Uncheck "Disable Acceleration in Games"
Button 1: Left Click
Button 2: Unassigned
Button 3: Right Click
Button 4: Right Click
Button 5: Unassigned
With SteadyMouse, I check "Disable Anti-Tremor Filtering," and I put the mouse speed all the way to fast. You can download this program from http://www.steadymouse.com/.
Enabling accessibility for these two programs would greatly assist people with physical disabilities or older hardware to use the mouse better. I've never had a problem in any other games, so I'm sure it is something to do with the graphics engine Cryptic is using.
If I can be of any more assistance in helping to fix this problem, please let me know.
