Items, how do they work? And repairing...

I'm full of noob questions, so please forigve me...

I see there are items for the primary slot and for the secondary slot. So my question is, do they all affect me when I slot them in? If so, why have different slot types?

And I read that when I die, my items take damage. How do I see if they're damaged, how much and most of all: HOW do I repair them if they're damaged? :)

Yes, they all affect you. Different slot types are there because diffderent stats are usually, but not always, associated with either offense, defense, or utility.

For example, there are many Primary Offense items that give Strength, but no Primary Utility that would do so.

When you die, your items do not take damage. The only penalty for dying is temporary loss of your "rating" with your fans and general superhero community (represented by stars on your portrait), which negatively affects your character's overall performance.

Or just keep playing like nothing happened, they will return when you complete the next couple of missions.

    Thank you too :)

Is there a clear explanation somewhere, of how the stars work, exactly?

oh so THATS what the medic is for.. I had absolutely no idea xD

as for the star system itself, I find the idea a bit strange. it makes sense in a story kind of way, but honestly I feel its not a good mechanic. you die, thus are punished by being made weaker, so if you want to try again, itll be even harder and the chance of you dieing actually increases
