What Happened to Burnside Vengeance?

It was a quest reward in Burnside in the Desert for killing Hoot, Lash,etc.

I got it in closed beta and in the beginning of open. Later on characters I made in open didnt have the option for the reward. I thought maybe I just missed the quest now I realize that the reward is just gone.

Instead there is a pistol power replacer.

Just wondering is there a way to get this still (has it been moved to a different quest maybe)?

Burnside Vengeance gave your character a reddish glow (eyes included) with occasional black shadows that ran down the character. It referenced Ferd in the description and gave Offense skill + Crit Severity and when the black graphic went over your character the offense and crit severity bonus went up a bit.

Besides the graphical effect it didnt seem overpowered compared to other rewards Ive seen.

if anyone knows what happened to it Id appreciate it.

it got pulled due to some issues with the powers on it.

I liked that reward but HATED the aura it gave. Really wish we had a way to turn those auras off.

I found the power meh, but really liked the aura (for certain characters).

I hope we get it back in some form.
