When in game or in character creation I am unable to see full details, such as the difference between cloth and leather etc.
I had no problem with this issue during beta and nothing has changed since then on my system.
I have tried adjusting my graphic settings, I changed the defaults in the Nvidai console to allow the game to control my setup (incase it was over riding the game).
I also can't see things like banding on the armor sets but if I see a clip of my character from a friend or the "My characters" section the banding is very apparent.
Anyone got any suggestions?
I had to updated my graphics and network drivers for the beta so that are uptdate as of last week, and the problem was there before the change in graphics driver, my wifes PC experiences this same issue.
This happened to me. It's one of the lighting options that does this. I can't remember which one, might be "dynamic lighting"... I am at work so I can't check. But it's one where the two options are "high" and "low" (there's no "medium" and no "off" for that one). Turning it to "low" makes everything look flat and texture-less, just as you describe.
I also had a similar impression (though mostly it seemed like things were being washed out rather than having no texture at all) with bloom turned on, so I run with that off as well.
