Fix melee combat!

So I gotta ask, who made the decision to make melee combatants so underpowered? I mean I understand the reasoning behind making just about every ranged combatant so voverpowered because youre trying to make them feel heroic, but considering there are ranged combatants at level 5 who can almost 1 shot villains at level 8 and melee combatants have trouble handling villains of their own level after level 10. For one thing this makes the PVP experience very one sided, for another it makes being a melee combatant in end game combat extremely difficult and reliant on peoples kindness as they are not really a viable dps or even tanking class till at least 12 or 15. I only ask because I need to know why they havent been fired, or shot by now?
