I think it's humorous to think that I actually wanted to pre-order the game, which I did from Best Buy but canceled due to complications. Now that I have purchased the game from D2D, I have yet to get past the login screen and the connecting to the login server message. There were server problems in closed beta and open beta, but I imagined they would be mostly fixed by the time the game launched. However, something like this is just ridiculous. I know there are others who have stepped into the game for a short time and others who have yet to even get a chance to create their Champion.

    yea i know i got stuck a day
    i even take my day off to play this game
    and i cant even create my superhero
    this is frustrating

    Have you entered in your retail key in and subscription information if not you will receive a message regarding no shards found. As far as server problems I haven't really noticed any.

    Lucky for you, but like those flooding the forums, there are certainly problems arising. I'll assume you read the original post, but there would be no way to get to the connecting to the login server message without first having the retail key and a subscription since, without those, the launcher won't even let you play.

    I am *still* in the same boat as you. I preordered CO from Gamestop, hoping to get my headstart. It's passed regular start now, and still nothing.

    I haven't been able to get passed "Connecting to the Login Server" once. It just keeps timing out on me. I can't figure out what is going on. I've tried messing with permissions (firewall, antivirus) but nothing has helped yet.

    Thoughts as to what may be wrong?:confused:

    Your guess is as good as mine. I also tried creating an exception for Champions Online but that changed nothing. By an chance are you on a network or campus? I could connect fine during Open Beta at home, but I've moved to my campus network and haven't been able to play. I'm guessing that might be my problem or bad files. I did a forced file verify but there wasn't anything wrong apparently. I suppose my last resort is to uninstall and install a fresh copy. It's not like I have anything else to do.

    I'm on campus, and I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I know a friend that's having similar problems online while at a campus, but not at home.

    This sounds like a connection issue with how the game or servers operates on Cryptic's end. I'm able to connect to other MMORPGs except Champions Online. A fix or statement to this issue would be nice.
