Problem underastanding power replacers

I've been having a problem with a couple of the power replacers. I just recently made a character with the munitions framwork. In the tutorial I found the Qularr blaster and I crafted the flintlocks for him on another character.
My problem is that I have no idea what either the flintlocks or the Qularr blaster do exactly. When I mouse over them I get a huge wall of text with various power informations. The list is so long that it reaches outside the screen so I can't even see all of it. Not that it matters really because I can't understand what I am actually seeing. This is more of a general problem with the power descriptions though, they come off as overly complicated. Is there anyway that I can change that display to something more simple (and less spacious) like "adds +10 fire damage to your gun attacks" or some such.
Also, I don't know if this is a bug or what but when I have the Qularr blaster equipped I can't use one of my munitions power, the one where you hold the pistols sideways in front of you and unload while you hold down the power button.
