Game crashes when entering into a new area

Every time I go to a new area in the game where there is storyline chatter my game locks up and I have to use my control panel to shut it down. This is very annoying as I have to go through the process of logging back in and loading up my character again. Does anyone have this problem? What do I need to do to fix this issue?
