What is it and how do i stop it? it happens ever time i enter my password.

    Same here...

    Every time i start the the launcher, ive got this error message...

    As found in the threads posted above. This seems to have resolved it for many of the original posters.
    Some people were getting that error earlier when they were running certain types of firewalls or proxies. Though they were getting it at a different point in the patch process so this sounds slightly different.

    Proxies and some firewalls install a driver that seems to cause the patcher to have problems. If you have a proxy I'd suggest completely uninstalling (turning it off won't work).
