Launcher problem - I can't actually log in.

Hello,
I've installed the game, patched it and when I log in to the launcher and click play, the launcher closes but the client does not launch.
I'm currently running the following system:
Intel i7 920
Asus Mobo
6GB RAM
nVidia BFG 260 OC
Running Windows Vista 64 Ultimate.
I checked my processes list and task manager but I don't even see it running, so I'm curious as to what might be happening. I've tried a reboot just to make sure everything was hopefully fine after installation.
[edit] if it's pertinent, I live in Canada.
