Extreamly slow download speeds on patcher

As the title suggest, i'm having similar problems to infamous launch day patching pleasures. I've been going for about an hour now and have all of 60kb downloaded (61kb/130mb converted). I'm running in -console and getting this for the patcher:
Now I'm no expert (far from it) but does that mean that my connection to the patch server is being servered every little while?
I'm a UK player and I've got to say I don't really want this trouble with patching. I've played a couple of other MMORPG's and while i've never had fun patching it's never been as bad as this. Honestly I don't want to have to deal with this every time a major content update comes out so a solution would be greatly appreciated on my end.
Edit: I remember there being a ftp download for the patch after a while in the open beta. Any such thing avalible here?
