09/01/2009 patch: Game locks up after graphics become blocky and distorted

I played in Open Beta and only had a random crash every now and then during the whole period that I played. Now twice today I've had the client show lock up twice withing about 2 hours worth of play time. One occurred while I was just afk in Mil. City. The other occurred when I was fighting some guys outside the jail in the desert. I'll load up fraps and take a screen shot illustrate what I mean when it happens again.

I don't think it's heat related but could be. I just cleaned off the fans last week and the game has run just fine with heavy playing in the early start weekend.
