Bug-->Primus Sparkshield Reward Replacing Energy Builder

When I equip the sparkshield drop which is a primary defensive slot power, it replaces my 'gunslinger' energy builder where I have a crafted pistol slotted in the primary offensive slot. I cannot fire my energy builder with this defensive device equipped.
