'VI-SA "Shorty" Blaster Pistol - Power Replacer - What does it do?

I crafted this for my Munitions character and I can see that my guns have changed graphically, but I can't get a good idea of what this does, as the tooltip runs from the top to the bottom of the screen with a variety of effects.

I have tried resizing the UI (which told me I was also getting some stat bonuses - which was nice) but I can't decipher the tooltip to get an idea of what this Power Replacer is replacing? Is it modifying my munitions powers, replacing them with some other effect?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I am having the same issue with the Offensive Primary "Gatling Pistol" that I got as a drop. Couldn't read all of the stats, including the top. I slotted it in my Primary Offensive slot and I cannot activate it. Can anyone shed any light on this issue?

If I had to guess, it charges you 35 silver every time you overcharge it.

It replaces Pistol-type powers. Changes damage type (a combo of energy/fire, I think) and provides a costume unlockable (pistol). It also gives a +2 to two stats (I forget which, and I'm at work).

If you don't have pistol-based powers, it won't do anything for you.

I do use pistol based powers, and I guess the question is, is the Power it relaces better than what I am using; Gunslinger and Two Gun Mojo? I don't get the feeling it is. I think Ill swap back to a stat-based upgrade, but keep the look, as it is a nice look.

I don't think I have "used" a single one of the items I have made. I just get them for the skin.

As far as I can tell, the munitions primary offense replacements do a whole lot more than the other usual abilities (Most sword replacements I see are a straight dmg Proc), but I see a variety of small differences in equipping the pistol replacements. The Gattling for instance (speculation mostly) I think adds a second smaller hit to most shots or something, but mostly I just loved it for the visual and sound (which sadly if you choose in the Tailor only copies the graphic, the sound is the default gun shots). I used the Shorty for a while and didn't see that much difference to the weapon either.

However, I recently crafted the U-SHL Shellie Blaster Pistols and saw a huge spike in damage from my energy builder and 2 gun mojo where applied according to the description 17 dmg per .1 second. I think the differences between gun enhancements definitely improve as you level up.

But what I'd really hope for is a way to be able to actually read from the start all the text that comes with the item (most of them seem to be outlining extremely specific conditions, e.g. the additional effect + the whole description of the skills, so what we are seeing is the item with Gunslinger, Two Gun Mojo, Breakaway Shot, Bullet-Ballet, etc.)

It makes you pistol attacks proc extra bonuses, according to what listed.
Take the Quuar pistol when I use basic attack with these I uselly get 3 proc symbols appear on the mobs I am fighting.

Where is the skin for the power replacement in the tailor? I looked underweapons and unlocks and couldn't find it.

I think I am at the point where I'm going to unequip the power replacer and go with a straight +Stat power. Thanks for all the insight.

Your weapons skins are under the Gun/Knife symbol. Just some skins are bugged and dont show in tailors

So, by bugged I take it to mean they aren't selectable currently? Thats really too bad, as I liked the look of this gun, even if its effects were hard to appreciate.

That pistol is not a costume unlock, its only an ehancer. Not every weapon enhancer unlocks a new weapon. I believe only the bug gun and the flintlock are the guns you get that can edit your costume at first. You can also find a gatling pistol later on that alters it too.

It would also be awfully nice if the SFX and the VFX of the custom guns was added to the costume piece on use to override the normal firing. Not necessarily the mechanical effects, just the visual/audio. Gatling pistols that don't make gatling sounds when replacing as costume parts are kind of... lame.
