pre history info:
was playing logged out appropriately no errors...But later...
i login..select character...loading...crash! error decompressing texture2.hogg file ...but the error varies.
The error reporter that then sends 750 mb's ....yeah i love waitng 20 minutes while this process sends the crash info!
this same issue plagued me in open beta...to the point where I simply had to reinstall the client...8 hours later...issue resolved. So here I am again in the same ####ing issue.
I'm not going to be loading the game client everytime it corrupts one of your hoqq files.
Oh and so each time it does this of course there's this new feature that validates the files...5 minutes later...crash...so the validation doesn't do sqat!
I bought a lifetime subscription, let's hope it doesn't take a lifetime to fix these issues.

It will reset all your settings to default, after which I was able to start game, play and set up all settings.
Also it might help to reset security settings on game folder and subfolders, best if you could set Everyone to have full rights.
As far as I know, it's not a problem with file corruption, but game is not able to decompress files to cache folder or something like that. The full scan doesn't shows any problem with these files.
