Server not responding + arena + lag

So, I joined an arena with a friend (we're both in the same house, he's literally in the next room). I get a "server not responding" message while loading into the arena, I appear in the floor and rubberband all over the place. The arena is basically unplayable. It's lagging the entire time, people are skipping around all over the place and I really can't do anything.

Meanwhile, my friend in the next room is happily going about his business with absolutely no lag. I quit the game thinking that would fix it and now I'm back in the arena with no team, I can't leave and I can't attack anyone - so I'm forced to stay until they finish the game. I'm given a quit and apparently no one else can join while I'm in there, so the teams are indefinitely uneven.

I've had this problem twice now and it's really annoying.

It'd help if you included the stats of your machine, and the operating system. Also, are you wireless? The post, "How can this machine be having problems!?!" has a good fix for wireless systems operating under Vista. Dunno if it'd help or not.

You mean... in CoH and CoV you are having Server Not Responding too, in instances, and til now this is not fixed??
