Can't get past character list loading

So, I have been playing just fine for days, but after i made a character today, it refused to login saying the map was full. I exited and reconnected, and now after I sign in it gets to "Retrieving list of characters", and then never goes anywhere. I let it sit there for a good half hour with no change, and have restarted multiple times.

Im using windows 7 64 bit Professional, with an nvidia 9600m GT. Have had no performance issues, or any issues at all really until this little snafoo. It has now been about....2-3 hours since i have been able to login.

    yes its been happening to ALOT of us..
    it started happening to me around 5:00pm pacific time on saturday
    i dont remember it saying retrieving map though

    nope havent been on at all since saturday..just up to retrieving list of characters

    Destra has said they're working on fixing it.

    I have the same problem.
