I wonder if it would be possible for them to implement voice without having to reinvent the wheel. The current solution they have in place for allowing outside media players to be controlled from within CO is a pretty good start imo.

I haven't looked into the APIs for Ventrilo or Teamspeak, but it seems like it would be a whole new world of cool if CO could pass parameters to these programs and plop you down in the correct vent server/channel with the team you're currently with in CO.

Optional of course; no need to flame away at an optional feature.

Get Vent or some other voice client. There's no reason Cryptic needs to devote resources for this. I have never met anyone in-game who even spoke about wanting voice chat. Of course, my experiences aren't universal, but on the same note, I don't really want to hear the "real" voice for that huge demon or tiny cat girl...

I find this to be one of the most entertaining aspects of voice chat.

Well, I use Xfire, and find it quite enjoyable. When my friends are on we team up and its great. Considering the recent lag problems, they don't need to be adding more to the soup, by adding their own voice chat.

What would be nice if the players were given an option to add their voice chat info (client, handle, etc) to a tab in the info window when another player clicks on them (like when someone wants to read your characters bio).
