Dont know how many people have tried the auction house. But i find it almost unusable, maybe im just missing something, but i cant seem to sort the results into any sort of order, not even by price.

I think there needs to be some filters in there, so we can search and order by the following

Price - obvisous really, everyone wants to find cheap stuff
Level - see if we can use it
Quality - see how good it is
Crafting type - so we can find stuff to research quicker for our crafting (science, arms or mysticism)
Name - incase you know roughly what your looking for but cant remember th whole name

Also need a confirm button on the buy, so you press buy, and then have to press confirm.

The auction house is in the center of the City, looks like a stock market. There are some machines inside the building which will bring up the auction house.

This is almost one of those things where you might not even bother to post just because it's so obvious. But, just in case..."Yeah, I think it's a good idea!"

I think Level is already in though.

    Found it.

    Almost wish i hadn't ;)

It seems like they've just stuck something in to let us trade without giving it much thought. It's not even an auction house. While I hate the idea of having to copy other games, the AH concept does work well. In it's present state it pretty much unusable. Luckily i found the bank too so just dumped everything there for now.

    As for improvements:

Needs all the previously mentioned filters.
Maybe a history of recent sale prices.
Possibly seperate AHs for each type, arms, science, etc.

Hopefuly they get around to it soon.

Name - is there, along the top part of the window.

Quality - is there, it's a drop down box.

Level - is there, it starts at 1 - 50, but you can change that.

Price - sort of. The stuff you can afford light up compared to the rest, but I don't think there's an actual price filter. I could be wrong, I only took a quick look.

Crafting type - I didn't see this either, and that would be nice. There's a lot of results for 1-11 in primary offense, for example, but 98% have the stats I'm not looking for.

Primarily, I think crafting type could be replaced by a "item contains stat" filter, so you can find just the items with the stat you're looking for.

Also, you get a lot of weapon replacement results. A filter for that would make everything much easier, but again there might be. I only spent a very brief time with it.

It also needs a feature to sort the results using a criteria other than level.

It would help it the auction house worked as an auction house. Right now there is no betting at all, you simply double click on the less expensive item and looks like it is yours. The selling price for an item should be a startup price, not the final one. Otherwise, good items are going to be hard to find because they are sold on a 'first-come, first-served' basis, and the AH will gradually be bloated with expensive junk nobody buys.

I don't know if this is because it is work in progress, or is meant to work this way by design (lets hope not!).

Are the AH's zone or shard limited? I ask because when I visited the terminal nothing was listed on the market at all. Not a single item.

I agree that the AH is very limited. I would guess they put something in with the idea they would revisit at a later date.

There is a quality filter in the AH, however it is mutually exclusive on the choice. To me each of the choices need to be capable of being OR'ed together. Sometimes I just want to see "rare" items, and sometimes I want to see "uncommon" AND "rare".

    There are no sub-categories.

    i.e. Components->Mysticism, or Components->Arms, etc.
